“Opposition generally appears as an obstruction, but the knowledgeable person uses it to his advantage to gather strength, improve himself, and take a more beneficial course of action. Adversity is for our strengthening.” —

Two Kinds of Wisdom

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

-James 3:13-17

love.

the word you think you know but you dont really know at all. people have the misconception of love being a deep affection between 2 people. well that is somewhat true but that isn’t the whole story. far from it actually. true love is love that is unconditional & never has bounds. the one who knew exactly that & did so was God. God never gave up on us. He never shut us out. He always loved us unconditionally but we turned our back on Him & spat on Him. no matter how many times you deny Him, He will never deny you. He is always theres for you when no one else is. He was the bright, warm candle light in the dark, cold room.

after overcoming one of the most difficult phases, so far, of my short humane life i realized what i wanted to do in life. i want to be able to serve others & develop a selfless attitude. i wanna be able to say ” yes” to anything & anyone. I wanna love everyone with all my heart & show them there is so much to be greatful for. i wanna be strong & show that pain & suffering is temporary. through Christ you can overcome any obstacle & climb the highest mountain. i wanna use the gift that God gave me to widen His kingdom & tell the world there is no one else who can compare to Him.

it all starts now. i will live to serve. a new page ready to be written in.

“Go now, and live. Experience. Dream. Risk. Close your eyes and jump. Enjoy the free-fall. Choose exhilaration over comfort. Choose magic over predictability. Choose potential over safety. Wake up to the magic of everyday life. Make friends with your intuition. Trust your gut. Discover the beauty of uncertainty. know yourself fully before you make promises to another. Make millions of mistakes so that you will know how to choose what you really need. Know when to hold on and when to let go. Love hard and often and without reservation. Seek knowledge. Open yourself up to possibility. Keep your heart open, your head high and your spirit free. Embrace your darkness along with your light. Be wrong every once in a while, and don’t be afraid to admit it. Awaken to the brilliance in ordinary moments. Tell the truth about yourself no matter what the cost. Own your reality without apology. see goodness in the world. Be Bold. Be Fierce. Be grateful. Be Wild, Crazy, and Gloriously Free. Be You. Go now, and live.” —Jeanette LeBlanc (via chaotique) (via yeahiheardyou)

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.” —Luke 6:22-25
